Just For Kicks The Martial Arts University’s mission is to address discipline, personal safety and physical fitness, while developing the leadership skills needed by our youth in today’s society.

To create a positive learning environment that allows for fun and exciting activity.

To instill a broad knowledge base of the martial arts and its’ history for a greater level of understanding about the tradition and techniques.

To challenge each person as an individual and to maximize their potential.

To ensure all students are aware of the true purpose of the martial arts, and how a person should carry his/herself.

To provide professional, courteous instruction at all times.


Brief History of Just For Kicks

Just For Kicks is a family owned & operated business founded in the late 1960’s by Sensei John Henry Venson who studied under O’Sensei Robert Trias, the father of Karate in America. It has since been passed down and prospered into a third generation enterprise. Just For Kicks has expanded to several academies across the country providing youth development and community enrichment since its inception.
